Music’s Biggest Night Of The Year: 2015 Grammy Awards

taylorIt was music`s biggest night of the year and the Grammys did not fail to amaze. This rockin night took place in sunny California in the iconic Staples Center. All the stars were out for a night of glamour, outstanding musical performances and of course, the awards! Top musical stars from Taylor Swift, Kanye West, Nick Jonas, Stevie Wonder, Rhianna and Sir Paul McCartney were in attendance.

There was no hiding that Sam Smith was the king of the 57th Grammy awards. He was the winner of several awards which included Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best New Artist and Best Pop vocal album. Other winners included, Beck for Album of the Year, Pharrell Williams for Best Pop Solo Performance and Paramore for Best Rock Song.

rhiannaBesides the red carpet glam and awards presented, there were also many over the top musical performances. Kanye West, Sir Paul McCartney and Rhianna rocked out the stage during their performance of “FourFiveSeconds”. Madonna brought her “Living for Love” music video to life on the Grammys stage. And Beyonce closed out the 2015 Grammys with a gorgeous rendition of the gospel song “Take My Hand Precious Lord,” which preceded John Legend and Common’s performance of the Oscar-nominated tune “Glory.” It was another phenomenal night in music and definitely one for the books.

Watch Out and Make Room for Some New Girl Scout Cookies!

TGS COOKhe classics are evolving and the Girl Scouts are making room for new cookies! It’s almost cookie season and this year is extra special. Girl Scouts is releasing two new cookies. These new cookies are called Rah-Rah raisin and Toffee-tastic.

The Girl Scout cookie tradition began in 1917 in Muskogee, Oklahoma. This beloved tradition began when a troop had a bake sale that sold sugar cookies for a service project in their high school. As this tradition evolved, new cookies were added. Currently the cookie flavors include, Thin Mints, Samoas, Tagalongs, Trefoils, Do-si-dos, Cranberry Citrus Crisps, Savannah Smiles, Thanks-A-Lots, Lemonades, Trios and now introducing the Rah-Rah raisin and Toffee-tastic. Out of all these delicious cookies, according to the Huffington Post, the Thin Mint is the most popular cookie. February will be here soon and it’ll be time to stock up on a years worth of these scrumptious treats!

Tips to Staying Safe, New Years 2015!

With the New Year approaching, you might be planning on celebrating with friends and family. Whether you are celebrating at a house party with friends and family, or out at a city-sponsored event, taking some precautions will ensure that everyone enjoys their celebrations safely.

Traveling: If you are traveling, don’t drink and drive. If you have a friend who does not drink, ask them to be the designated driver. When you are driving be alert and aware of your surroundings. New Year 2015 formed from sparking digits over black background

Celebrating with Alcohol: If you are going to be celebrating with alcohol it is important to have a full stomach before drinking. Alternate drinks to stay hydrated, such as drinking juice, water or soda in between consuming alcoholic beverages.

Being in a crowd of people: If you are going to be in a crowd of people it is important to distant yourself from people who are being out of control or are intoxicated.

If you are hosting a party: If you are hosting a party call a cab company and book rides for your guests in advance. Knowing that all your guests got home safely leaves less stress and responsibility on you.

If you have pets: If you have pets it is important to show them extra attention. Loud noises can scare pets and make them panic and run. Keep pets in a comfortable room with soft music playing too drowned out any unusual noises.
